Modifying an Access Control Record

To modify an access control record, click:

Volumes > volume_name > Access tab

The Volume Access window appears (Figure 16: Volume Access ).

In the Access Control List panel, select the record and click Modify.

The Modify Access Control Record dialog box appears with the same fields as the Add Access Control Record dialog box (Figure 17: Add Access Control Record ). Modify the access control record information and click OK.

Notes: If you modify the CHAP user name for an access control record or delete an access control record that includes a CHAP user name, hosts that previously matched the record and have a current iSCSI connection to the target (volume or snapshot) may not be able to log in to the target again. It is recommended you modify a CHAP user name in an access control record or delete a record that includes a CHAP user name only when the target has no iSCSI connections.

If you create an access control that limits host access to an iSCSI initiator name, you cannot change the initiator name. Instead, you must delete the record and recreate it using the desired name.
